The Role

They are seeking to appoint a dedicated Digital Lecturer who can teach across Levels 1‑3. You will join a collaborative team and contribute to the design, delivery, and assessment of digital qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:

· Plan, deliver, assess, and review digital‑skills courses (Levels 1‑3), including modules such as ICT, media, digital design, web technologies, basic programming, and emerging digital tools.
· Develop schemes of work, lesson plans, and learning resources that engage and challenge learners, meeting both the college's standards and awarding bodies' requirements.
· Use appropriate technologies to support blended and online learning.
· Monitor and report on student progress, providing feedback, mentoring, and support to ensure high completion and pass rates.
· Liaise with employers and industry to keep course content current and relevant.
· Engage in continuous professional development (CPD), staying up to date with digital trends and pedagogical best practice.

Educations, Skills and Requirements:

· Qualified to at least Level 4/5 (e.g. diploma, degree) in a relevant subject (digital technologies, computing, media, ICT, etc.).
· A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, CertEd, Level 5 Diploma) or willingness to achieve one
· Experience of teaching or training at Level 1‑3, or working in digital/ICT education.
· Good knowledge of digital tools, software applications, web technologies, and basic programming concepts.
· Ability to design and deliver engaging, inclusive lessons across a range of abilities.
· Strong communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
· Commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion, and supporting students with varied needs.
· Willingness to contribute to the wider life of the college (e.g. enrichment, cross‑college initiatives).
· Must have a DBS on the updated services will the willingness to apply for one.
