Job Title: Lecturer - Games Designer

Contract: Permanent
Hours: 38 per week
Salary: £28,582-£36,084 + £6,000 MRA
Role Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Games Design Lecturer to join our team. In this role, you will deliver practical and theoretical lessons in games design, supporting learners to develop their creative and technical skills and build strong portfolios for industry readiness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in games design and related subjects.
- Support learners in developing practical projects, portfolios, and technical skills.
- Assess and monitor learner progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
- Maintain accurate records of assessments, attendance, and learner outcomes.
- Keep up-to-date with developments in the games design industry and curriculum requirements.
- Contribute to curriculum planning, resource development, and continuous improvement of the department.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create a supportive and inspiring learning environment.
Person Specification:
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Games Design, Game Development, or a related creative/technical field.
- Experience teaching in further or higher education (FE/HE) is desirable.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating industry experience and creative expertise.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
- Ability to motivate and support learners from diverse backgrounds.
- Passion for games design and commitment to high-quality teaching and learning.
