Salary: Point 26
Role Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Skills Trainer Assessor - Early Years to join our team. In this role, you will deliver training, assess learners' progress, and support them to achieve their Early Years qualifications. You will play a key role in ensuring learners develop the practical skills and knowledge required to succeed in the Early Years sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging training sessions to learners undertaking Early Years qualifications.
- Assess learner progress against qualification standards and provide constructive feedback.
- Conduct practical assessments and review learners' portfolios of evidence.
- Maintain accurate records of assessments, progress, and achievement.
- Support learners to overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.
- Ensure compliance with awarding body standards and college policies.
- Contribute to the development of teaching resources and continuous improvement of the department.
Person Specification:
- Experience working in the Early Years sector.
- Level 3 or above in Early Years Education/Childcare (or equivalent).
- Experience in assessing, teaching, or mentoring in a further education setting.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
- Ability to motivate and support learners from diverse backgrounds.
- Strong understanding of Early Years qualification standards and assessment practices.
