Role Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Skills Trainer Assessor - Early Years to join our team. In this role, you will deliver training, assess learners' progress, and support them to achieve their Early Years qualifications. You will play a key role in ensuring learners develop the practical skills and knowledge required to succeed in the Early Years sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging training sessions to learners undertaking Early Years qualifications.
  • Assess learner progress against qualification standards and provide constructive feedback.
  • Conduct practical assessments and review learners' portfolios of evidence.
  • Maintain accurate records of assessments, progress, and achievement.
  • Support learners to overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.
  • Ensure compliance with awarding body standards and college policies.
  • Contribute to the development of teaching resources and continuous improvement of the department.

Person Specification:

  • Experience working in the Early Years sector.
  • Level 3 or above in Early Years Education/Childcare (or equivalent).
  • Experience in assessing, teaching, or mentoring in a further education setting.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to motivate and support learners from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong understanding of Early Years qualification standards and assessment practices.
