Role Overview:
We are seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Computing Lecturer to join our team. In this role, you will deliver engaging lessons to FE learners, supporting them in developing practical and theoretical computing skills that are relevant to both education and industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver computing lessons in line with curriculum requirements.
- Support learners in developing practical computing skills and theoretical understanding.
- Monitor and assess learner progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
- Maintain accurate records of assessments, attendance, and learner outcomes.
- Stay up-to-date with developments in the computing sector and curriculum standards.
- Contribute to the development of teaching resources and continuous improvement of the department.
Person Specification:
- Degree or relevant qualification in Computing, IT, or a related discipline.
- Experience teaching in further or higher education (FE/HE) is desirable.
- Strong knowledge of computing principles, software, and hardware relevant to FE learners.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
- Ability to motivate and support learners from diverse backgrounds.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences.
