
Business Systems Developer
Morgan Hunt are working with a public sector organisation in Dundee to recruit a Business Systems Developer on a permanent basis. The role is based in their Dundee office, on a hybrid working model doing 2 days per week in the office. Ideally, the candidate will come from a background in the public sector, but this is not essential.
The role is looking for someone who comes from a technical background and has moved into the business analysis side.
Key Responsibilities:
- Help shape the organisation's business systems strategy to align with the company goals.
- Lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of business systems projects, ensuring requirements are met and solutions are delivered on time
- Play a hands-on role in implementing software solutions that meet business needs and improve efficiency
- Design and implement system processes and integrations that drive automation and operational efficiency
- Research and recommend new technologies or solutions that add value to the organisation
- Analyse complex data to identify trends, improve processes, and support data-driven decision-making
- Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to support operational and strategic decisions.
- Plan and manage system upgrades, ensuring ongoing functionality, compliance, and prompt issue resolution
- Investigate, escalate, and resolve technical issues efficiently, collaborating with external vendors when necessary
Experience Required:
- Solid understanding of SQL for MS SQL Server databases
- Report Production within SQL Server Reporting Services and data visualisation tools such as Power BI
- Use of process automation tools
- Experience of developing via the Microsoft Power Platform
- Experience creating user friendly, accessible user interfaces
- Data governance
Up to £41k per year plus benefits
