💼 Contract: Temporary, Full Time (6 months)
⏰ Hours: 37 per week
💷 Salary: Up to £13.52 per hour PAYE

As our Finance Officer - Payables, you'll play a key role in ensuring invoices are accurately registered, matched and processed, creditor queries are resolved quickly, and payments are made on time. You'll bring a sharp eye for detail, great communication skills and the ability to handle high-volume data with confidence.
Key Responsibilities:
* Register and process all group invoices promptly, ensuring purchase order controls are followed
* Match invoices to authorised orders and report discrepancies
* Handle creditor queries via phone, email or letter, delivering excellent customer service
* Validate and post approved invoices to the Purchase Ledger
* Run weekly payment cycles and process ad-hoc payments as required
* Improve Purchase Ledger KPIs and support high team performance
* Manage incoming post on a rota, prioritising urgent communications
* Create and maintain supplier accounts, carrying out fraud-prevention checks
* Obtain and apply credit notes where needed
* Process and validate billing for void properties, liaising with local authorities
* Scan and reference all invoice documents accurately
* Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies
* Record materials costs accurately for HMRC CIS compliance
* Validate new contractors with HMRC for CIS purposes
* Process rent refunds requested by the Income Team
