Interim Management Accountant required to work for this domestic abuse charity supporting women & children based in central London. Reporting to the Head of Finance, this role will provide additional capacity in the team as they recruit to a new Management Accountant post. This individual will support the team to deliver the budget for 26/27, quarterly commissioner reporting, and start preparations for the statutory audit, think balance sheet reconciliations. The short nature of the placement means they are interested in someone who can come in and support the team with really good Excel skills, to build templates, consolidate reports, reconcile accounts while the finance team then use and refine these for their individual budgets etc. The candidate must also have experience of running reports from finance systems and strong analysis skills.

The Management Accountant will work closely and support the Head of Finance to enhance projects and management accounting as well as working alongside the Assistant Management Accountants to produce accurate and timely internal and external financial reports.




Support Budget process

· Extraction and manipulation of reports extracted from the finance system Xledger.

· Interrogation and investigation of the reports where additional information is needed,

· Preparation and update of budget templates in line with changing contract terms.




Support in quarterly reporting to commissioners

Compliance to agreed standards and procedures

· Support Head of Finance to develop a business partnering approach between Finance and the Business Development Team with fast response rates to support pricing of new bids, grant applications, tenders, and provision of other relevant financial information

· Comply with all the organisation's policies and procedures.

· Provide support to budget holders to improve their budget management capabilities. Such support to include annual training on budget management to all budget holders.



Support the Head of Finance to prepare for the annual audit work

· To support with the preparation, analysis and provision of accurate income related financial and management information to be included in statutory returns and reports.



Knowledge, Experience and Skills

· Experience of producing monthly management accounts for various projects

· An ability to work under pressure and manage/adapt to changing priorities in a fast changing economic climate

· An ability to produce accurate reports and information within tight timescales, with occasional extra hours if needed

· Flexibility in approach to work and where needed, highlighting conflicting demands early so that all commitments and deadlines are addressed

· Commitments and deadlines are addressed

· Computer literate with knowledge of using accounting systems, Exchequer preferred

· Word and Excel skills essential, Excel to advanced level (Pivot Table, V-LookUp, etc)

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including ability to communicate with non-financial staff

· Contribute to the smooth running of the Corporate Services Team

· Agree and work to an annual individual work plan

· Contribute to the development of Solace through assisting with funding opportunities

· Maintain confidentiality in all matters relating to the organisation
