Responsible for the full revenue-to-pay cycle, including revenue collection, withdrawal provisions, bad debt, invoice processing and management of receipts.
- Resource - Build and lead a team focused on the timely collection of monies from students. Manage flexible resource to deliver to deadlines.
- Reporting - Development and maintain strong reporting over revenue ensuring transparency over collection, debt, payment plans and individual account reconciliations.
- Governance - reconciliations of revenue accounts ensuring timely transparency over issues that may arise. Ensure the accounting is managed so that data is accurate. Controls set to monitor for potential risks / fraud.
- Issue resolution - responsible for ensuring teams resolve student and partner issues and support teams where necessary.
- Advisory - Involved in refreshing the commercial terms of student contracts and ensuring that these can be applied consistently.
- Collaboration - work on cross team projects to enhance the credit collection for the business.
- Regulatory - Higher Education is a regulated environment and an understanding for the team on requirements is required
Essential Criteria - Proven experience of running a credit control team - onsite and remote. Flexing resource to meet peak periods.
- Experience of hands-on transactional finance processing with ability to support and train the team.
- Demonstrate the ability to flex approaches to deliver targets
- Ability to set targets, monitor progress on a daily / weekly basis, adapt approached and report performance
- Ability to collect cash whilst managing business reputation
- Customer Service excellence and strong communication skills with all partners. Desirable Criteria
- Experience in Private Equity backed business
- Experience of business process improvement
