About us
Field Lane has been standing alongside society's most vulnerable since 1841. From our beginnings as the Field Lane Ragged School in Clerkenwell, we've evolved with one constant: a determination to offer care, dignity and opportunity to those who need it most.
Over the decades our work has shifted and expanded from employability training for young people, to residential care for older adults, and now to our core focus: supporting adults with learning disabilities and vulnerable families. Recent strategic changes, including the disposal of our elderly care homes and the successful 2022 merger with FUN in Suffolk, mean we are now poised for sustainable growth and deeper impact across our supported living services.
Today, Field Lane is a modern, forward-looking charity with a proud history and an exciting future and we're looking for trustees who share our commitment to compassionate, high-quality social care.
