I am currently recruiting a Clerk of Works to provide site-based oversight of construction projects on behalf of the Technical Services team, clients, and stakeholders.

The contract will be for around 6 months.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor construction works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, technical standards, Health & Safety legislation, and agreed programmes.
  • Liaise with Design Teams, Contractors, and site staff to resolve technical and practical issues, acting on behalf of the Design Team when required.
  • Act as a central communication link between professional staff, stakeholders, tenants/users, and construction teams.
  • Check compliance with client site restrictions and statutory requirements.
  • Witness testing, commissioning, and compliance activities and manage certification.
  • Prepare site progress reports and attend pre-start and progress meetings.
  • Identify and report delays, non-compliance, or issues that may result in claims or Health & Safety concerns.

Essential Experience:

  • Proven site management or supervision experience, particularly in building services installations.

  • Demonstrated experience working as a Clerk of Works on projects of varying size and complexity.

  • Experience within Local Authority and/or housing repair and maintenance projects, including management of mixed-ownership and stakeholder relationships.

  • Strong experience in identifying and resolving building snagging issues.

  • Experience supervising or coordinating mechanical and electrical services works.
