Skills and Experience
- Understanding of contract management best practice.
- Knowledge of contract management systems.
- Awareness of public sector procurement requirements; knowledge of the Procurement Act 2023 is desirable but not essential.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including data manipulation, analysis, and reporting.
- Experience of capturing, maintaining, and validating contract data.
- Experience working with Contract Finder and/or the Find a Tender Service is desirable.
- Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as a self-starter, managing tasks with limited direction.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Capture, input, and maintain accurate contract information within the contract management system.
- Ensure contract data complies with local contract management and procurement policies.
- Record and reconcile notices published on Contract Finder and the Find a Tender Service against awards recorded in the local contract register.
- Assist with the preparation and publication of notices on Contract Finder and the Find a Tender Service.
- Use Excel spreadsheets to analyse, validate, and report on contract and compliance data.
- Support contract managers by ensuring records are complete, up to date, and audit-ready.
- Identify data gaps or inconsistencies and work with relevant teams to resolve them.
- Contribute to improving contract management processes and data quality.
