Role Overview
We are seeking a qualified Speech and Language Therapist (SaLT) to work at our Havering campus. There is also a requirement for an AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) Specialist. Natalie, our SaLT Manager, is in the process of adding Morgan Hunt to the Native request system.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and support learners with speech, language, and communication needs
- Deliver individual and group therapy sessions
- Develop and implement personalised communication programmes
- Provide AAC assessments and interventions (for AAC specialist role)
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff, support staff, and families
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation
- Contribute to multidisciplinary reviews and planning meetings
Essential Requirements
- Fully qualified Speech and Language Therapist
- HCPC registered
- Experience working with AAC (for AAC specialist role)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively
Working Pattern & Pay
- Up to 5 days per week
- £25 per hour
