Senior Systems Accountant required for a non-profit who is a faith-inspired organisation who is committed to responding to crises, reducing poverty and creating lasting change for vulnerable people worldwide.

This is a senior, hands-on role suited to a fully qualified accountant who can add value quickly and provide stability within a busy finance function.

Your role

Senior Systems Accountant plays an important role supporting and improving our cloud-based Unit4 ERP financial system. You will provide system administration, training, and continuous improvement to ensure finance operations run smoothly. You will work closely with our Finance and IT teams to maintain accurate reporting and strong internal controls.

What you'll be doing

- Take ownership of our Unit4 ERP system, making sure it runs smoothly, securely and supports the finance team.

- Be the go-to person for system support, helping users, fixing issues and managing access when needed.

- Attention to detail to spot opportunities to improve and automate processes, making everyday tasks easier and more efficient.

- Maintain accurate financial data and reporting as well as helping to assure everything is reliable and audit-ready at all times.

Required skills and qualifications

You will be a qualified accountant with experience working in a complex or regulated setting. You'll be comfortable managing a busy workload, taking responsibility for your work and supporting both day-to-day and longer-term finance activities.

- Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA) or equivalent experience

- Experience with Unit4 ERP (v7 Cloud) in a support or administration role

- Experience with reporting and analysis tools

- Strong understanding of financial controls and accounting principles

- String communication skills

- Good understanding with Islamic values and principles
