
Assessment & Reconnection Worker (Women Only)
We are currently recruiting for an Assessment & Reconnection Worker to join a specialist, trauma-informed women's service in Westminster supporting women at risk of rough sleeping and those who have experienced domestic abuse and Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG).
Assessment & Reconnection Worker (Women Only)
Location: Westminster
Pay Rate: £16.56 PAYE + Holiday Pay
Contract: Temp Rolling Contract
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (rota basis including evenings and weekends - unsocial hours paid)
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored support to female clients with multiple and complex needs, including domestic abuse and VAWG.
- Carry out comprehensive assessments and develop personalised, client-led action plans.
- Provide structured case management and ensure clients are connected to specialist external services.
- Work closely with the Case Coordinator to manage referrals, complete inductions, and plan move-on pathways.
- Support clients to access appropriate accommodation and longer-term support options.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure safeguarding and risk management procedures are followed.
- Work collaboratively within a small staff team to achieve positive recovery and resettlement outcomes.
- Participate in a rota including evening and weekend shifts (unsocial hours paid).
Requirements:
- Experience supporting vulnerable women, particularly those affected by homelessness, domestic abuse, or VAWG.
- Strong understanding of trauma-informed practice and safeguarding procedures.
- Experience carrying out assessments and delivering person-centred support.
- Ability to manage complex cases and work within a multi-agency framework.
- Knowledge of housing pathways, welfare benefits, and resettlement processes.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
