About the Role:
Morgan Hunt is proud to be partnering with TEC Partnership to recruit an experienced Head of People Partnering. This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for shaping and delivering a proactive, high-quality People & Culture service across the organisation.
Reporting to the Executive Director of People & Culture, you will lead and inspire the People Partnering team, ensuring the delivery of strategic and operational HR support aligned to TEC Partnership's vision of enriching lives through excellent education, community collaboration, and employment opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, develop, and inspire the People Partnering team across multiple sites
- Act as a trusted strategic partner to senior leaders, influencing organisational direction
- Embed a proactive people partnering model across the employee lifecycle
- Contribute to People & Culture strategy, plans, and objectives aligned with corporate goals
Employee Relations
- Provide expert guidance on complex ER matters including disciplinaries, grievances, redundancies, and TUPE
- Oversee ER caseloads and support the development of the partnering team
- Ensure compliance with employment law and best practice
- Lead on Employment Tribunal cases and liaise with legal advisors
- Build effective relationships with trade unions and lead consultations
Policy & Performance
- Lead the development, review, and implementation of HR policies and procedures
- Chair the People & Culture policy group
- Support performance management processes including appraisals and probation reviews
- Deliver manager toolkits, training, and coaching
Change Management
- Provide strategic leadership on organisational design, restructuring, and change initiatives
- Ensure effective communication, employee engagement, and long-term sustainability of change
Stakeholder Engagement
- Build strong relationships with leaders across the organisation
- Attend leadership and departmental meetings, providing expert HR advice
- Coach and mentor managers to build leadership capability
Data & Reporting
- Monitor KPIs, analyse HR metrics, and present insights to senior stakeholders
- Develop Service Level Agreements for People Partnering services
About You
We are looking for a confident and credible HR leader with strong strategic and operational experience.
Essential:
- Degree and/or relevant professional experience
- CIPD Level 5 qualification
- Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practice
- Proven experience managing teams, ideally across multiple sites
- Extensive experience in change management and complex casework
- Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills
Desirable:
- CIPD Level 7 or Chartered Membership
- Experience within the education sector (FE/HE preferred)
- Experience developing HR strategies and business plans
