🏫 About the Role
We are seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Health and Social Care Lecturer to join a college in South London on a temporary basis. You will deliver engaging lessons to further education students, supporting them to develop the knowledge and practical understanding required for careers in health and social care.
This is a rewarding opportunity to shape learners' futures and prepare them for progression into higher education or employment within the sector.
🎯 Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver high-quality Health and Social Care lessons (Level 2-Level 3/BTEC)
* Assess, monitor, and track student progress
* Support students in developing theoretical knowledge and practical understanding
* Prepare learners for coursework, exams, and external assessments
* Differentiate teaching to meet a range of abilities and learning needs
* Maintain a positive, inclusive, and professional learning environment
* Work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff
👤 About You
* Degree in Health and Social Care or a related subject
* Teaching qualification (PGCE, CertEd, or equivalent) - desirable
* Experience teaching in a college or FE setting
* Strong subject knowledge and industry insight
* Excellent communication and classroom management skills
* Passionate about supporting learners into health and care careers
Desirable:
* Experience delivering BTEC or CACHE qualifications
* Industry experience within health and social care
* Familiarity with current UK FE curriculum and assessment frameworks
