A well-established FE College in East London is looking to appoint a skilled and motivated Curriculum Team Leader in Carpentry to support the delivery, development, and performance of its construction provision.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Carpentry Lecturer ready to step into a leadership role, or an existing Team Leader seeking a new challenge within a high-performing department.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and support a team of Carpentry lecturers delivering Level 1-3 programmes
Drive high standards in teaching, learning, and assessment
Support curriculum planning, timetabling, and resource management
Monitor learner progress, achievement, and retention, implementing improvements where needed
Contribute to quality assurance processes and prepare for Ofsted inspections
Build and maintain links with industry to ensure curriculum relevance
Requirements:
Level 3 qualification in Carpentry or a related trade
Teaching qualification (or working towards one)
Proven experience teaching within Further Education
Strong understanding of FE quality frameworks and learner outcomes
Ability to motivate staff and support curriculum development
