Outreach Worker - Substance Misuse

📍 Location: Redbridge / Ilford

💷 Pay Rate: £15-£17 per hour

📅 Hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm

⏰ Additional Requirement: 1 early outreach shift per week (7:30am-3:00pm)

📄 Contract Length: 3-4 month assignment

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Outreach Worker to join a substance misuse service based in Redbridge/Ilford. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous experience in drug and alcohol services who is passionate about supporting vulnerable individuals within the community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carrying out community outreach and engaging with vulnerable clients
• Supporting service users with recovery and support plans
• Providing harm reduction advice and appropriate signposting
• Working closely with partner agencies and support services
• Maintaining accurate case notes and client records
• Promoting recovery-focused interventions and safeguarding practices

Requirements:

• Previous experience within substance misuse services is essential
• Strong communication and engagement skills
• Ability to work independently within the community
• Good understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality
