Communications Consultant (Interim)
We are seeking an experienced Communications Consultant to provide interim cover within a respected healthcare membership organisation for approximately one month, starting week commencing 1 June.
This is a fully remote, fast-paced and hands-on role covering the full communications mix, and would suit someone who is confident operating across both strategic and delivery-focused communications activity.
Contract Details
- Interim contract - approximately 1 month (with potential flexibility)
- Start date: Week commencing 1 June
- Rate: Up to £33 per hour (Umbrella)
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality communications across multiple channels
- Draft and edit a wide range of content including press releases, member communications, briefings, statements, web copy and stakeholder updates
- Support proactive and reactive media activity
- Manage press enquiries and media relationships
- Work closely with senior stakeholders across the organisation
- Support internal communications activity where required
- Ensure messaging is accurate, engaging and aligned to organisational priorities
- Contribute to broader communications planning and delivery
Essential Experience
- Previous communications experience within healthcare, health policy, NHS, membership bodies or related sectors
- Exceptional writing and editing skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Proven press and media relations experience
- Ability to work across all aspects of communications in a busy environment
- Experience managing competing priorities and delivering at pace
- Strong stakeholder management skills
