Mechanical Engineering Lecturer
Location: Birmingham
Salary: £45-50 per hour
Start Date: ASAP
About the Role:
The candidate will need experience with Level 2 Engineering unit 206 City and Guilds. The learners will need to complete making a piece of metal to specification namely filing it drilling holes and cutting a shape out of the centre of it; therefore, general workshop skills are needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver lectures and practical sessions in mechanical engineering.
- Develop and update curriculum content in line with industry standards.
- Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback.
- Support student projects and research initiatives.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to quality assurance processes.
Qualifications Needed:
- Relevant qualification in Mechanical Engineering
- Teaching qualification is desirable.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience Requirements:
- Prior teaching experience in further education or higher education settings.
- Industry experience in mechanical engineering is an advantage.
