Support Worker

Location: Snow Hill Court, London, EC1A 2EJ

Pay Rate: £15.00 per hour + Holiday Pay

Hours: Full Time

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Support Worker to join a busy and supportive hostel service at Snow Hill Court in Central London.

This is an excellent opportunity to work within a modern 14-room hostel supporting individuals with medium to high support needs. The service provides short-term accommodation, with residents typically staying for up to 28 days before moving on to more suitable accommodation and support services.

Working as part of a strong multidisciplinary team, you will play a key role in supporting residents, promoting independence, and helping clients engage with relevant services to achieve positive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality support to residents with a range of support needs.
• Build positive and professional relationships with clients.
• Complete support plans, risk assessments and case notes.
• Support residents to access housing, health, welfare and community services.
• Assist clients with appointments, referrals and move-on plans.
• Maintain accurate records and update client information using internal systems.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a safe and supportive environment.
• Respond effectively to incidents and safeguarding concerns.
• Promote client wellbeing, independence and positive outcomes.

Shift Pattern

• Early Shift: 7:30am - 3:30pm
• Late Shift: 2:30pm - 10:30pm

Requirements

• Previous experience working within homelessness, hostels, supported housing, outreach, housing support or similar settings.
• Strong IT and administration skills.
• Ability to work proactively and use initiative.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience supporting vulnerable adults with complex needs.
• Ability to work effectively within a team and in a fast-paced environment.
