About the Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced and enthusiastic Maths Lecturer to join a well-established Further Education provider across the Cambridge and Bedford area. This is a temporary position offering flexibility and the opportunity to make a real impact on learners working towards a range of qualifications.

The successful candidate will deliver engaging and effective Maths lessons to students across various levels, supporting their academic development and helping them achieve their educational goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Maths lessons.
• Teach students across GCSE and Functional Skills Maths programmes.
• Assess, monitor, and track student progress.
• Provide constructive feedback and support to learners.
• Maintain accurate records in line with college requirements.
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Contribute to learner achievement, retention, and progression.

Requirements

• Relevant degree or qualification in Mathematics or a related subject.
• Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS, or equivalent) desirable.
• Experience teaching Maths within Further Education, Secondary Education, or Adult Learning environments.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
• Ability to engage and motivate learners of varying abilities.
