Welfare Fund Officer

Morgan Hunt's Public Sector and Government client based in Scotland is looking to recruit a Welfare Fund Officer to provide support throughout a busy period.

This assignment has been deemed inside of IR35 and will offer full time home working.

Ideally, the successful candidate will have the ability to:

- Proficiently use the Academy (Capita) Revenues and Benefits processing system
- Make decisions on and process claims for Crisis Grants, Community Care Grants and Discretionary Housing Payments in line with legislation and budgetary constraints
- To make financial assessment of customers' needs in line with legislation and budgetary constraints
- Liaise with suppliers of goods to ensure maximization of Scottish Welfare Fund award
- Work closely with benefits and council tax regarding benefits cases and council tax accounts
- Handle inbound customer queries
