Morgan Hunt is currently recruiting experienced Electricians to join a leading social housing repairs and maintenance team. This is an excellent opportunity for qualified electricians looking for a long-term role delivering high-quality electrical repairs, maintenance, testing, and compliance works within the social housing sector.

Working across occupied and void properties, you will play a key role in ensuring residents receive a safe, reliable, and efficient service while maintaining the highest standards of workmanship and compliance.




Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out electrical repairs, maintenance, installations, testing, and inspections within social housing properties.
  • Deliver works in line with current Building Regulations, NICEIC requirements, and Health & Safety legislation.
  • Complete electrical testing, fault finding, inspections, surveys, and Portable Appliance Testing (PAT).
  • Diagnose and rectify electrical faults, aiming for first-time fixes wherever possible.
  • Complete digital work orders, reports, and certification accurately and within required timescales.
  • Work safely in occupied and void properties.
  • Support larger projects and work collaboratively with colleagues and other trades.
  • Mentor junior technicians and support their development where required.
  • Participate in an out-of-hours emergency call-out rota.
  • Maintain vehicle stock, tools, equipment, and materials effectively.

Essential Qualifications

Electrical Installation

Candidates must hold one of the following:

  • NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation + AM2
  • City & Guilds 2360 Parts 1 & 2
  • City & Guilds 2330 Levels 2 & 3 (from September 2011)
  • City & Guilds 2365 Levels 2 & 3 + AM2
  • City & Guilds 2357 + AM2
  • Level 3 Electrotechnical Experienced Worker Qualification (2346) + AM2E

Inspection & Testing

  • City & Guilds 2391 Periodic Inspection & Testing
  • City & Guilds 2395 Inspection & Testing

Experience Required

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in electrical installation, repairs, and maintenance.
  • Previous experience working within social housing, property maintenance, facilities management, or a similar environment.
  • Proven track record of delivering excellent customer service.
  • Strong fault-finding, inspection, and testing experience.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
