We are seeking a dedicated Senior Learning Support Manager to join our College at this exciting time. This role involves line management of support staff, operational oversight, and collaboration with external partners to enhance student support.

The successful candidate will contribute to the organisation's mission and values while ensuring compliance with Equality and Diversity policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Line manage support staff and oversee operational matters within the Supported Learning Team.
  • Devise and implement tailored support strategies for individuals and groups of learners.
  • Conduct performance development reviews and manage budgetary responsibilities.
  • Ensure compliance with Equality and Diversity policies.
  • Collaborate with external partners and agencies to enhance student support.
  • Organise and chair student reviews and departmental meetings.
  • Maintain and update individual support plans for students.
  • Direct and lead training sessions for staff and students.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of support services.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience supporting learners with additional needs, preferably in a Post 16 environment.
  • Experience in delivering interactive training sessions.
  • Familiarity with working with students with EHCPs and conducting consultations.
  • Ability to establish effective working relationships with students, staff, and external agencies.
  • Experience in managing change and responding to the specific needs of students

Education Requirements

  • Attained English and Maths Level 2/GCSE (Grade 4 or above).
  • Relevant qualifications in education or a related field.

Experience Requirements

  • Experienced in line managing others.
  • Understanding of good practice in supporting learners with additional learning needs.
  • Proven ability to work in an educational setting with students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
