About the Role / Job Summary:
A leading institution in Further Education, dedicated to providing high-quality vocational education, is seeking a Brickwork Technician to join their dynamic team. This role involves supporting the delivery of practical brickwork training, maintaining workshop environments, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. The successful candidate will contribute to the development of skilled professionals in the construction sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare workshops, tools, materials, and equipment for practical lessons.
- Support lecturers during brickwork training sessions.
- Maintain the brickwork workshop to a high standard.
- Monitor and control stock levels, ordering materials as needed.
- Conduct routine maintenance and safety checks on tools and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and college procedures.
- Assist students with practical activities and demonstrations.
- Support open days and learner enrichment activities.
What We Are Looking For:
- Relevant industry experience in brickwork or related construction trades.
- Knowledge of workshop health and safety requirements.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with both staff and students.
