Salary: £45,000 per annum

We are currently recruiting for an Aeronautical Engineering Lecturer on behalf of a well-established Further Education College in Shoreham-by-Sea. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced aeronautical engineering professional to inspire the next generation of engineers while delivering high-quality teaching across vocational engineering programmes.

Whether you're already teaching in Further Education or looking to transition from industry, this role offers the opportunity to share your expertise, develop learner's practical and theoretical knowledge, and prepare them for successful careers within the aerospace and aviation engineering sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging practical and theory-based Aeronautical Engineering lessons across a range of vocational programmes.
• Prepare lesson plans, assess learner progress, and support students to achieve positive outcomes.
• Maintain a safe, organised, and industry-standard workshop and classroom environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements.
• Provide academic and pastoral support, helping learners develop both their technical knowledge and employability skills.
• Contribute to curriculum development, quality improvement initiatives, and the wider success of the Engineering department.

The Successful Candidate Will Have:

• A Level 3 qualification or higher in Aeronautical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• Relevant industry experience within the aerospace or aviation engineering sector.
• A recognised teaching qualification, or willingness to work towards one.
• Experience delivering or supporting vocational education is desirable.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and classroom management skills.
• A passion for developing the next generation of aeronautical engineers.
