Finance Assistant will be working for a well-established national charity dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of children, young people, and families. They deliver a range of community-based health services and are committed to providing high-quality care and early intervention support.



The role

Finance Assistant is part of the Finance team providing financial support service to the organisation. Finance Assistant will be supporting the finance team by maintaining the purchase and sales ledgers by ensuring all supplier transactions of the organisations are authorised and accurate.



What you will be doing

  • Monitor and manage the Finance inbox, processing incoming invoices and responding to supplier queries in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Check invoices are accurately processed, authorised, and managed in line with financial procedures and internal controls.
  • Maintain supplier accounts, including creating new supplier records, updating existing accounts, and completing reconciliations.
  • Liaise with suppliers, customers, and internal departments to resolve payment queries and build strong working relationships across the organisation.
  • Maintain accurate financial records, prioritise workload effectively, and ensure compliance with company policies.




Qualifications, Experience and Knowledge:

  • Experience of working in finance team/office environment
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
  • Use of Microsoft packages and proficient in the use of excel.
  • Ability to manage workload effectively to meet monthly deadlines
  • Be well organised and able to work accurately with a good attention to detail.
