About the Role / Job Summary:

The Inclusive Support Coordinator will play a vital role in enhancing the educational experience for students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). This position involves coordinating support services, collaborating with staff, and ensuring that students receive the necessary resources to thrive. The successful candidate will contribute to creating a welcoming and supportive atmosphere that promotes student success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate support services for students with SEND.
• Collaborate with academic staff to develop tailored support plans.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of support strategies.
• Provide training and guidance to staff on inclusive practices.
• Engage with students and their families to ensure effective communication.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to student support.

Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of SEND and inclusive education practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
• Organizational skills and attention to detail.

Education Requirements:

• A relevant degree in education, social work, or a related field.
• Additional qualifications in special education or related areas are advantageous.

Experience Requirements:

• Experience working with students with SEND in an educational setting.
• Proven track record of developing and implementing support strategies.
• Previous experience in a coordination or leadership role is preferred.
