Job Title: Housing Officer

About the Role / Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Housing Officer to provide a customer-focused, proactive, and comprehensive Tenancy, Neighbourhood, and Estate Management service. This role involves managing a patch of approximately 550 properties, acting as the first point of contact for housing, tenancy, and estate management queries. The successful candidate will play a vital role in enhancing community safety, addressing tenancy breaches, and supporting residents in their engagement with housing services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver a high-quality, efficient tenancy, housing, and estate management service.
- Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and legislation while providing excellent customer service.
- Manage the turnaround of empty properties to meet key performance indicators.
- Investigate cases of tenancy fraud and coordinate management of complex housing disputes.
- Conduct neighbourhood inspections to ensure safety and maintenance standards.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to enhance service delivery.
- Support community engagement initiatives and tenant involvement.
Qualifications:
- Up-to-date knowledge of housing legislation and regulations.
- Experience in a front-line tenancy or housing management role.
- Strong communication and IT skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload.

Experience Requirements:
- Experience in managing tenancy processes and working with vulnerable groups.
- Experience in litigation and evidence gathering.
- Ability to build effective relationships with tenants and stakeholders.
- Enhanced DBS required
