You'll be a key part of the college's safeguarding and student support team, helping to promote a culture of safety, wellbeing, and inclusion across the college community.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Managing and responding to safeguarding concerns and referrals
  • Supporting students experiencing welfare, wellbeing, attendance, or safeguarding issues
  • Working closely with designated safeguarding leads and student support teams
  • Liaising with parents, carers, local authorities, social care teams, and external agencies
  • Maintaining accurate safeguarding records, reports, and case notes
  • Supporting risk assessments, safeguarding investigations, and action plans where required
  • Promoting safeguarding awareness and best practice across the college
  • Providing advice and guidance to staff and learners on safeguarding matters
  • Supporting learners to overcome barriers to engagement, attendance, and achievement

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience within safeguarding, pastoral support, student welfare, youth work, education, or a related field
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding legislation and best practice
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage sensitive situations with professionalism, empathy, and confidentiality
  • Experience working with young people or vulnerable adults
  • Strong organisational and record-keeping skills
  • Commitment to promoting learner safety, wellbeing, and positive outcomes

Why Apply?

  • Temporary opportunity
  • September start
  • Supportive and inclusive college environment
  • Opportunity to make a genuine impact on learners' lives
  • Collaborative and rewarding team culture
  • Varied and meaningful role where no two days are the same
  • Be part of a team dedicated to supporting and protecting young people

If you're looking for a rewarding opportunity where you can help safeguard, support, and empower learners while making a lasting difference every day, we'd love to hear from you.
