Temporary Communications officer

**Job Title:** Communications Officer

**Pay:** £222 per day (umbrella)

**Start Date:** Immediate

**Contract Length:** 3 months (temporary)

**Location:** Hybrid (1 day a week from Stratford, London)




**About the Role :**

Join a leading housing organization dedicated to solving the homelessness crisis by providing high-quality, settled homes. As a Communications Officer, you will play a key role in supporting internal and external communications, creating engaging content, and contributing to impactful campaigns, including the organization's 20th anniversary celebrations.




**Key Responsibilities:**




- Write and edit engaging content for internal and external communications, including newsletters, reports, and social media.

- Design and schedule email campaigns using Mailchimp and create graphics using Canva.

- Manage and update the website using WordPress, ensuring content is clear and accessible.

- Plan and execute social media posts, maintaining consistent branding and messaging.

- Support the organization's 20th anniversary campaign, including coordinating events and creating celebratory content.

- Track and evaluate communications metrics to demonstrate impact.

- Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to deliver effective communication strategies.




**Experience Requirements:**




- Proven experience in a PR or communications role.

- Experience creating engaging content for digital channels and using creative tools like Canva.

- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

- Experience supporting or organizing events is a plus.
