Living Well Officer

Manchester

Temporary Contract

Hourly Rate: ~£25

We are looking to recruit an experienced Living Well Coordinator to join an established team within a local housing organisation. Working as part of the Living Well service, you will play a key role in supporting residents to maintain their independence, sustain their tenancies and make positive, lasting changes to their lives.

Working across the South Manchester area, you will build trusted relationships with residents, families and individuals, as well as colleagues across the organisation and external partner agencies. You will provide early intervention, practical support and appropriate signposting to help residents overcome challenges before they escalate.

This position is responsible for supporting tenants across parts of the South Manchester area, and successful candidates will be expected to work across this locality on a regular basis.

The role will help create more stable and sustainable communities by supporting residents to live well, maintain their homes and avoid preventable tenancy breakdown. You will identify underlying issues, provide appropriate interventions and work collaboratively with others to address the causes of homelessness, reduce avoidable tenancy terminations and help residents achieve positive outcomes.

We are looking for someone with:

  • Experience in a frontline role within housing, support, community services, tenancy sustainment, health and wellbeing or a similar environment.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage positively with people from a wide range of backgrounds.
  • A person-centred and strengths-based approach, with the ability to encourage individuals to identify solutions and make positive changes.
  • Confidence working independently, managing a varied caseload and prioritising competing demands.
  • An understanding of safeguarding, risk management and the challenges that can impact on a person's ability to sustain their home and tenancy.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, families and external agencies to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, including accurate record-keeping and case management.
  • A flexible and proactive approach, with a commitment to working within the local community and responding to the needs of residents.
  • Full UK driving licence, or the ability to travel independently across the locality.

If you feel this role aligns with what you're looking for and your skills and experience, we'd love to hear from you. Please apply using the link or call us on 0161 838 3616, and a member of our team will be in touch shortly!
