We're looking for a Young Person's Progression Coach to join a service in the Kidderminster area, supporting young people to overcome challenges, build life skills and work towards a more positive future.

This is a great opportunity for someone who genuinely wants to make a difference to the younger generation, encouraging them not to give up and helping them recognise their potential.



Shift Pattern

  • 2 long shifts per week
  • Monday-Friday: 8am-6pm
  • Weekend: 9am-6pm
  • Shifts will be worked on a rota basis
  • Expected to work 1 weekend long day per month
  • 18.75 hours per week

What You'll Do

You'll work closely with young people to:

  • Act as a key worker, providing consistent one-to-one support
  • Build positive, trusting relationships with young people
  • Encourage and motivate young people to make positive choices
  • Support young people to develop confidence, independence and essential life skills
  • Help them overcome barriers and work towards their goals
  • Support with education, employment, training and future pathways
  • Identify and respond appropriately to safeguarding and welfare concerns
  • Build positive relationships and encourage young people to engage with support
  • Get involved in activities and day-to-day engagement, helping create a positive environment
  • Work alongside colleagues and other professionals to ensure young people receive the right support

About You

We're looking for someone who is:

  • Understanding, patient and empathetic
  • Passionate about supporting young people and making a genuine difference
  • Confident building relationships and communicating with young people
  • Motivated to help young people get on the right path and not give up when things become difficult
  • Confident enough to get involved in activities and engage with young people
  • Able to remain calm and supportive when faced with challenging situations
  • Experienced working with young people or vulnerable individuals in a support, housing, youth work or social care setting
  • Understanding of safeguarding and the challenges faced by vulnerable young people
  • Flexible and able to work as part of a 7-day rolling rota
