🚨 Recovery Coordinator - Drug & Alcohol Service

📍 Location: Southend

⏳ Assignment: 3 months initially, with the possibility of monthly rolling extensions

💰 Pay Rate: £17-£20 per hour Umbrella, depending on years of direct recovery experience

🕐 Hours: 35 hours per week

💼 The Role

Morgan Hunt are currently recruiting for an experienced Recovery Coordinator to join a Drug & Alcohol service in Southend on an initial 3-month assignment, with the possibility of monthly rolling extensions thereafter.

Due to current staffing pressures within the service, they are looking for an experienced recovery professional to provide additional cover and support service users across a mixed caseload of opiate, non-opiate and alcohol clients.

🔑 Key Responsibilities

• 👥 Manage a mixed caseload of service users experiencing drug and alcohol issues
• 💬 Provide structured, recovery-focused support and interventions
• 📋 Complete assessments, care plans, reviews and risk assessments
• 🛡️ Identify and respond appropriately to safeguarding and risk concerns
• 🤝 Work collaboratively with colleagues and other professionals
• 📊 Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation
• ❤️ Support service users through their recovery journey using a person-centred approach

🎯 About You

We are looking for someone with direct experience working within drug and alcohol recovery services.

Experience supporting individuals with the following would be particularly relevant:

• 💊 Opiate use
• 🍷 Alcohol dependency
• 💉 Non-opiate substance misuse
• 🧩 Complex needs and vulnerabilities
• 🛡️ Safeguarding and risk management

You will need to be confident managing a caseload independently and working within a busy service environment.

🕐 Working Hours

35 hours per week:

• Monday: 9am-5pm
• Tuesday: 11am-7pm
• Wednesday: 9am-5pm
• Thursday: 9am-5pm
• Friday: 9am-5pm

📍 Fully on-site at the service hub in Southend.
