Communication Support Worker - BSL Level 3 - East London

Location: Stratford, East London

Morgan Hunt is recruiting a Communication Support Worker with BSL Level 3 to support deaf and hearing-impaired learners within a further education college in East London.

This is an opportunity to help students access their education, build confidence and participate fully in college life.

The role

• Provide communication support using British Sign Language in lessons and other learning activities.

• Help learners access teaching materials, classroom discussions and instructions.

• Work closely with teaching and learning support teams to meet individual needs.

• Adapt your communication approach to learners' preferences.

• Encourage independence, participation and inclusion.

• Maintain professional boundaries and follow safeguarding procedures.

What we're looking for

• A BSL Level 3 qualification or above.

• Experience supporting deaf or hearing-impaired learners, ideally within education.

• An understanding of Deaf awareness and barriers to learning.

• Strong communication skills and a patient, adaptable approach.

• The ability to work collaboratively with learners and college staff.

• An Enhanced DBS and willingness to complete the required compliance checks.
