Morgan Hunt are delighted to be supporting an FE college in Hampshire to recruit for a new Head of Apprenticeships.
Reporting to the Deputy Principal, the Head of Apprenticeships will oversee the college\'s apprenticeship programs and all other courses in the area, with a strong emphasis on sustainable growth.
Main responsibility of the Head of Apprenticeships:
* Lead, manage, and motivate staff.
* Establish and implement strategies to diversify and increase income sources.
* Develop a comprehensive suite of business services to complement the core training services.
* Lead the strategic development of apprenticeships across the college, ensuring alignment with employers\' skill requirements.
* Develop relationships with existing and new clients to identify new opportunities.
* Ensure effective learner management that leads to successful outcomes.
* Maintain up-to-date awareness of ESFA funding rules to provide guidance and ensure compliance.
* Oversee the overall learner and employer experience.
* Actively support marketing activities with employers and schools to increase apprenticeship numbers.
The successful Head of Apprenticeships will have:
* Commercial awareness and experience in customer relationship management.
* Proven track record in tendering for and securing new business.
* Demonstrated success in improving the quality of provision.
* Ability to develop and maintain links with educational institutions.
* Experience in leading and coaching staff within an education and training environment.
* Working knowledge of funding methodologies.
* Ability to understand the college\'s curriculum and effectively apply it to meet employers\' needs.
* Proven written and oral communication skills.

Duties Include:
* Lead the networks workstream on projects and programmes to ensure that the network topology complies with the agreed standards and provide sufficient capacity, availability, and quality of service.
* Collaborate with infrastructure engineers to ensure systems are practically designed. Plan, direct and coordinate activities, engaging with other stakeholders to manage and implement a programme.
* Provide guidance and make recommendations to colleagues ensuring that service design and transition plans can be supported by network topologies and network provisions. Research new technologies and make recommendations when changes are needed to IT strategy and architecture.
* Develop a clear view of the cyber risk exposure, to provide meaningful risk advice and mitigation. Provide clear, consistent reporting to senior stakeholders, driving automation across processes and reporting where possible and ensuring the security of the network infrastructure including managing firewalls, using vulnerability scanning, port monitoring tools and resolving security related incidents.
Experience and Skills:
* Previous public sector experience is preferred
* Experience of designing and implementing infrastructure technologies, solutions and services such as: networking, physical infrastructure, software, COTS and open source packages and solutions, and cloud computing
* Knowledge of moderate to complex service integration, particularly experience of integration with Azure & AWS related networking and typical DMZ architectures and Express Route, with experience of capacity and availability monitoring and analysis using tools such as Solar Winds.
* Experience of designing secure systems characterised by medium levels of risk, impact, and business or technical complexity. Ability to select appropriate design standards, methods and tools and ensure they are applied effectively.

Security Clearance
* Candidates must be either security cleared or can be secured cleared (lived in the UK for over 6 years)
Qualifications
