Market Risk Analyst
Morgan Hunt are currently working with a Professional Regulatory Body in their search for an interim Market Risk Analyst to provide targeted support to the organisation's framework for identifying, quantifying and better understanding market risks.
This role is an excellent opportunity to play a key part in shaping risk-based decision making by producing high-quality, analytical insights to inform regulatory policy and action. As part of a new pilot initiative to build capability around risk-based regulatory design, you will work closely with colleagues across policy, authorisations and professional standards to identify, assess and analyse risks emerging from changes in the market.
You will contribute to the organisation's strategic thinking by translating intelligence and market data into actionable insights, helping to shape regulatory approaches that respond effectively to risk. This will include engaging with subject matter experts, designing evidence-based interventions and supporting the development of more consistent and transparent decision-making frameworks.
The successful candidate will bring a strong track record in market risk analysis, with the ability to apply both qualitative and quantitative research techniques to a wide range of challenges. You will be confident working autonomously to produce robust, defensible insights that can influence senior decision making, while also collaborating effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Experience gained within a regulator, risk-based organisation, social research environment or a regulation-focused corporate function (such as insurance or financial services) would be particularly valuable. Candidates who thrive in this role will demonstrate analytical rigour, intellectual curiosity and the ability to anticipate and assess emerging risks in a fast-changing environment.
