
Housing Officer
Are you an experienced Housing Officer? Based in the Cambridgeshire area, looking for your next opportunity?
I'm looking for a motivated and customer-focused professional to join the housing team in Public Sector and Government organisation on an inital 6-month contract.
About the role:
Housing Officer - 6 Month Contract
Location: Cambridgeshire (travel between sites required)
Rate: £26.12ph - £29.50ph umbrella (DOE)
You'll deliver high-quality tenancy management services across a defined neighbourhood; supporting tenants, resolving complex housing issues, and ensuring compliance with tenancy conditions. You will handle a range of responsibilities including anti-social behaviour casework, tenancy audits, void management, and welfare support referrals.
As a key member of the team, you will also:
- Manage and support an Assistant Housing Officer.
- Lead on community initiatives and environmental improvement projects.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure positive outcomes for residents.
- Promote inclusion, sustainability, and resident wellbeing across your patch.
About you:
Experience in tenancy or neighbourhood management, housing enforcement, or community development. Confident managing cases independently, motivating others, and building strong relationships with residents and partner agencies.
A housing qualification is desirable but not essential. A strong commitment to excellent customer service and community impact is key. Experience in working with a Public Sector and Government organisation would be beneficial.
