Revenue and Debt Service Manager

Are you a Revenue and Debt Service Manager looking for a hybrid role in North West London?

Morgan Hunt's Public Sector and Government client based in North West London is looking to recruit a Revenue and Debt Service Manager to lead on the administration, collection, and enforcement of Council Tax, Housing Benefit Overpayments, and Sundry debts for the Council.

The postholder will have operational responsibility for a range of Debt recovery services including the provision of customers services face to face, by telephone and online web services, recovery and enforcement, quality, control, policy, and procedures ensuring that the service meets the diverse needs of the Council's residents.

This assignment has been deemed inside of IR35 and will offer hybrid working with three days worked in the office each week.

The successful candidate will ideally be able to:

- Proficiently use the IWorld/Northgate (NEC) Revenues and Benefits processing system.
- Lead on the administration, collection, and enforcement of Council Tax, Housing Benefit Overpayments, and Sundry debts for the Council.
- Ensure collections are maximised, for Council Tax this includes direct management of the in-house service.
- Support the Deputy Director of Finance using their initiative and business knowledge in securing the continuous development, improvement, efficiency, and success of the department as a whole through effective leadership, budget management, strategic direction, planning, management, and governance.
- Demonstrate knowledge of what standardised reports exist and access the data they need to strategically drive the team to collect.
- Implement the Council's debt reduction improvement plan.
- Demonstrate passion and experience in debt, analytics, and team motivation.
- Liaise with/relationships with third party debt agencies.
