Job Title: Housing Advice and Options Manager

Salary: £265pd (DOE)
Contract Type: Full-time, 37hpw | 9am-5:30pm
I'm working with a Council based in Northamptonshire looking for looking for a Housing Advice and Options Manager to lead the delivery of a proactive, customer-focused housing advice and homelessness prevention service within the Public Sector and Government team. This is a vital leadership role, managing multiple teams and driving forward initiatives to reduce homelessness, improve housing outcomes, and minimise the use of temporary accommodation.
In this role, you will:
- Oversee the delivery and performance of homelessness prevention and housing advice services.
- Lead and motivate a team of Housing Team Leaders and specialist officers.
- Manage budgets, performance targets, and service improvements.
- Develop and implement the local Homelessness and Rough Sleeping Strategy.
- Strengthen multi-agency partnerships to deliver effective, person-centred solutions.
- Provide strategic advice on housing and homelessness to senior leadership and partners.
About you:
You'll have a deep understanding of housing and homelessness legislation, proven experience in managing housing services, and a strong record of leading teams to achieve positive outcomes. You'll be confident analysing data, managing budgets, and building partnerships that make a difference in the community.
A relevant housing qualification or equivalent experience is required. Membership of the Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) is desirable.
