
Shared Service Manager - Council Tax
Are you a Service Manager looking for a hybrid role in Hertfordshire?
Morgan Hunt's Public Sector and Government client based in Hertfordshire is looking to recruit a Shared Service Manager to lead on the administration, collection, and enforcement of Council Tax debts for the Council.
The postholder will be responsible for the effective and efficient delivery of the Council Tax functions across our shared service including the provision of customers services face to face, by telephone and online web services, recovery and enforcement, quality, control, policy, and procedures ensuring that the service meets the diverse needs of the Council's residents.
This assignment has been deemed inside of IR35 and will offer hybrid working with one day worked in the office each week.
The successful candidate will ideally be able to:
- Proficiently use the Academy ICT System
- Lead on the administration, collection, and enforcement of Council Tax for the Council.
- Ensure collections are maximised, for Council Tax this includes direct management of the in-house service.
- Support the Assistant Director for Revenues & Benefits Shared Service using their initiative and business knowledge in securing the continuous development, improvement, efficiency, and success of the department as a whole through effective leadership, budget management, strategic direction, planning, management, and governance.
- Demonstrate knowledge of what standardised reports exist and access the data they need to strategically drive the team to collect.
- Implement the Council's debt reduction improvement plan.
- Liaise with/relationships with 3rd party debt agencies.
