
Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
Morgan Hunt currently requires a Mechanical Maintenance Tradesperson for Higher Education based in Central London on a Permanent Basis
Salary From £34,132 to £40,500pa Depending on experience
Hours: Shift Hours: 07:00 to 15:00 Monday to Friday with a cyclic late shift of 12:00 to 20:00 and a cyclic Saturday shift of 07:00 to 15:00.

Job Purpose
The Mechanical Maintenance Tradesperson shall work within the Maintenance Team reporting to the Maintenance Manager (Mechanical). Ideally the Mechanical Maintenance Tradesperson shall be technically qualified in a mechanical discipline and experienced in performing operation and maintenance duties in large building complexes.
But would welcome newly qualified candidates who would be willing to train into position.
All team members are expected to make an equal contribution and undertake tasks as assigned. There is also a requirement to undertake call out response which is shared equally among the team.
All team members are expected to work a basic working week based on a shift system which is generally 07:00 to 15:00 Monday to Friday with a cyclic late shift of 12:00 to 20:00 and a cyclic Saturday shift of 07:00 to 15:00.
All team members are expected to be flexible in covering shifts at short notice as required.
Main Responsibilities
The Mechanical Maintenance Tradesperson shall be responsible to the Maintenance Manager (Mechanical) for:
Carrying out mechanical maintenance both reactive and planned on a range of equipment including AHU's, piped and ducted systems, pumps, pressurisation units.
The candidate shall have knowledge of L8 requirements both theoretical and practical.
Responding in a 'hands-on' capacity to Critical Plant breakdowns and undertaking remedial action in the field.
Completing and recording PPM tasks.
Carrying out routine inspections of plant and systems during each shift.
Assisting in implementing emergency and contingency procedures as required from time to time.
