Generic Navigator

We are seeking a passionate and proactive Generic Navigator to provide holistic support to individuals who are rough sleeping or at risk of homelessness across Camden and Islington. This is a hands-on, community-based role offering end-to-end support - from initial street engagement to helping clients rebuild stable, independent lives.

Job Title: Generic Navigator
Location: Camden & Islington (Community Based)
Contract: Temporary - Approx. 1 Month

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of around 10 clients, providing tailored, person-centred support.

• Conduct comprehensive needs and risk assessments, setting clear, achievable goals.

• Work collaboratively with local outreach teams, housing providers, health, social care, and justice agencies.

• Engage clients through street-based outreach and flexible working approaches.

• Support individuals to access accommodation, health services, and community-based opportunities.

• Attend multi-agency meetings, advocate for clients, and contribute to coordinated care plans.

• Utilise a personalised budget to promote independence and positive lifestyle changes.

Requirements:

• Experience supporting rough sleepers or individuals with multiple disadvantages.

• Strong understanding of trauma-informed and psychologically informed approaches.

• Confident liaising with multi-agency partners and advocating for clients' needs.

• Knowledge of VAWG, ACEs, and complex trauma.

• Excellent communication, assessment, and record-keeping skills.

• Ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload.
