Are you an experienced leader within advocacy, sexual violence, or safeguarding services looking to step into a strategic management role? Do you want to lead a specialist service that makes a meaningful difference to autistic people and people with learning disabilities who have experienced sexual violence?

We are seeking a compassionate, confident, and values-led ISVA Service Manager to lead and develop a specialist advocacy service supporting survivors to access justice, safety, and recovery.

About the role

This is a senior leadership role with responsibility for the quality, impact, and development of ISVA and wider advocacy services. You will lead commissioned workstreams, manage and support a skilled advocacy team, and ensure high standards of trauma-informed, rights-based practice.

You will work strategically and operationally-overseeing service delivery, safeguarding, performance management, and impact reporting-while also contributing to service growth, funding opportunities, and system change across the sexual violence and disability sectors.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing clear, inclusive, and values-driven leadership to the ISVA and Advocacy team
  • Leading delivery of commissioned advocacy services, ensuring contractual targets and high-quality outcomes are met
  • Line-managing senior staff and supporting professional development through reflective supervision
  • Acting as safeguarding lead for the advocacy service when required
  • Ensuring compliance with ISVA national minimum standards, safeguarding frameworks, and data protection requirements
  • Overseeing budgets, reporting, and income targets
  • Using data, feedback, and lived experience to drive service improvement and learning
  • Representing the service in regional and national forums and building effective partnerships

About you

You will bring substantial experience from advocacy, ISVA, safeguarding, or survivor services, along with the confidence to lead in complex and high-risk contexts. You will be committed to trauma-informed, inclusive practice and comfortable balancing strategic leadership with hands-on operational oversight.

You will ideally have:

  • Experience leading or managing staff or services in advocacy or sexual violence settings
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding, the criminal justice system, and barriers faced by disabled and neurodivergent survivors
  • Experience managing commissioned or grant-funded services
  • Confidence using data and reporting systems to evidence impact and improve practice
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders and partners

What we offer

  • Hybrid working with flexible options
  • 28.5 days annual leave plus bank holidays
  • Enhanced sick pay and generous family-friendly policies
  • Pension scheme
  • Access to an employee assistance programme and wellbeing support
  • Paid volunteering leave and learning opportunities

We are committed to being an inclusive, trauma-informed employer and actively welcome applications from people with lived experience and from communities that are under-represented in leadership roles.

If you are ready to take the next step in your career and help shape high-quality advocacy for survivors, we would love to hear from you.
