Progression Coach / Young Person

We are recruiting a Progression Coach to support clients with complex needs in Northwest London. You will deliver strengths-based, holistic support, helping individuals access education, training, employment, and achieve greater independence. The role includes casework, safeguarding, partnership working, and ensuring safe accommodation standards.



Location: East London

Pay: £16.64 per hour PAYE (incl. holiday pay)

Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Mon-Fri, with occasional evenings/weekends)

Contract: 4-5 months



Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a small caseload, delivering personalised support to clients with complex needs
  
• Carry out risk assessments, needs assessments, and create tailored support plans
  
• Support access to ETE opportunities (education, training, employment)
  
• Liaise with community, statutory, and specialist agencies
  
• Respond to safeguarding and emergency concerns appropriately
  
• Maintain accurate case notes and records in line with service standards
  
• Participate in rota duties (some evenings/weekends)
  
• Contribute to health & safety checks and ensure accommodation is safe and welcoming
  
  Requirements:
  
• Experience supporting young people or adults with complex needs (mental health, substance misuse, trauma)
  
• Strong behaviour management and boundary-setting skills
  
• Experience working collaboratively with multi-agency professionals
  
• Good understanding of safeguarding procedures
  
• Ability to deliver support planning and risk management
  
• Excellent communication and engagement skills
