Morgan Hunt are delighted to be working with a leading FE College in Cheshire to appoint an exceptional Head of MIS on a permanent basis. This is more than a technical management role, it's an opportunity to shape how information powers performance across a dynamic and ambitious educational organisation.
The role:
The College is investing significantly in its systems, reporting capability and data culture. As Head of MIS, you will sit at the centre of that transformation.
Leading the Business Intelligence, Registry and Exams teams, you will ensure that data is not only accurate and compliant, but meaningful, accessible and impactful. From funding returns to strategic dashboards, from enrolment processes to performance insight - your leadership will underpin operational excellence and learner success.
As a member of the College Management Team, you will influence decision-making at the highest level and play a key role in supporting sustainable growth.
What you'll be responsible for
Providing strategic leadership across MIS, Funding, Registry, Business Intelligence and Exams
Ensuring the accuracy, integrity and timely submission of statutory returns, including ILR
Driving continuous improvement across enrolment, timetabling, exam and registry processes
Developing insightful dashboards and reporting tools that translate complex data into clear intelligence
Embedding a culture of compliance, accountability and data-driven decision-making
Acting as the College's expert voice on funding and management information
What we're looking for
This role will suit a confident, forward-thinking MIS leader who combines technical expertise with strategic vision.
You will bring:
A relevant degree or equivalent experience
Strong experience in MIS, reporting systems and funding environments
Proven leadership within MIS, Exams or ILR functions
Up-to-date knowledge of FE/HE funding regulations
High levels of technical proficiency and analytical capability
The ability to communicate complex information clearly to a range of stakeholders
A collaborative, solutions-focused approach with the credibility to influence at senior level
