Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a supportive school in Wolverhampton on a full-time basis. This is a rewarding opportunity for a confident and proactive individual to support teaching and learning across the classroom, helping pupils achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
Support the planning and delivery of lessons across a range of subjects
Lead whole-class teaching sessions in the absence of the class teacher
Work with small groups or individual pupils to provide targeted support
Assist in assessing pupil progress and providing feedback to teaching staff
Support pupils with additional needs, including SEN, where required
Help maintain a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
Prepare learning materials and classroom resources
Promote positive behaviour and uphold school policies
Requirements
HLTA qualification or equivalent experience
Previous experience working in a school setting (primary or secondary)
Strong understanding of the UK curriculum
Experience supporting pupils with a range of abilities, including SEN
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong organisational skills and a proactive approach
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
