Service Manager - Supported Accommodation (Young People)

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced and motivated Service Manager to lead a supported accommodation service in Bromley. This role focuses on delivering high-quality, trauma-informed support to young people experiencing homelessness and complex needs, helping them move towards independent living.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the safe and high-quality delivery of supported accommodation services
• Manage a team of 2 Senior Progression Coaches, 6 Progression Coaches, and 1 Housing Management Worker
• Deliver a trauma-informed, outcome-focused service for young people
• Build and maintain strong partnerships with external agencies and stakeholders
• Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed and risks are managed appropriately
• Oversee KPI reporting, contract compliance, and data submissions
• Manage service budgets, rental income, and expenditure effectively
• Monitor voids and ensure properties are utilised within agreed timeframes
• Ensure health & safety and legal compliance across all sites
• Represent the organisation at commissioning meetings and local forums

Essential Requirements

• Proven experience managing a service, ideally within supported housing or similar settings
• Experience working with young people with complex needs (mental health, substance misuse, etc.)
• Strong experience in service delivery, KPI reporting, and contract compliance
• Experience supervising and leading staff teams
• Knowledge of risk assessments and support planning
• Experience working in multi-agency environments and managing partnerships
• Budget management and financial oversight experience
• Strong understanding of safeguarding procedures
• Good IT, literacy, and numeracy skills
• Commitment to health & safety best practices

• Experience managing teams across multiple or dispersed sites
