📍 Location: Derby (S41 7TH)

💰 Pay Rate: £20-£21 per hour (Umbrella)

📅 Contract: Temporary (with potential extension)

🕓 Working Pattern: 4 days per week

Overview

We are currently recruiting for a Substance Misuse Recovery Worker to join a well-established service in Derby. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong multi-agency experience, particularly within probation, criminal justice, or homelessness services.

You will play a key role in supporting individuals with complex needs, helping them progress through their recovery journey while working collaboratively with partner agencies.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of service users with substance misuse needs
• Deliver structured key working sessions, recovery plans, and risk assessments
• Work closely with probation services and criminal justice agencies
• Support individuals transitioning from prison or probation into the community
• Make referrals to external services, including:
  • Mental health services
  • Housing / homelessness support
  • Domestic violence services
• Facilitate or support group interventions and workshops
• Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed at all times
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records (System 1 desirable)

Requirements

• Experience within substance misuse or a related field
• Background in at least one of the following:
  • Probation / Criminal Justice
  • Homelessness services
  • Mental health
• Ability to manage complex caseloads and high-risk clients
• Strong communication and engagement skills
